Hey, My name is Walker and I'm looking for a new pair of skis to ride. I'm from Rochester, NY and ski mostly Bristol Mountain, but I also want somethin i can take to Vermont in the spring. I'm 17, 6 foot, and 168 pounds. I'm an advanced skier and i also race for my school. I ride freestyle when not racing, the races are just for fun, but i want a nice pair of twins that will last me for a few years. I was looking at armada AR7's, Norwalks, and Atomic Theories. I am most likely going to buy the griffin bindings i just need to know what ski will work best and last me for a few years. Please also make suggestions on other skis, ski lengths, and ski widths. I want a width around a 90-95. Thanks for the help.
Line Chronics! 92 width and an absolutely amazing ski! this years model has been completely redesigned with rocker in both tips. They slay the park and the pow. Great ski!
There are a ton of skis in that range, every company makes something like that. Details, you like stiff or soft? Rocker an option? What do you think you'll be skiing mostly, groomers, trees, ?
Ginko- I ski Bristol which is generally pretty icy, but it has its powder days in late january. Also, i would prefer a very soft ski that i could ski in Vermont like killington. Thanks
Ok now I'm off mobile here goes. Out of those 3 skis AR7s will be best suited to what you want to do: - ski park, that whats what you meant by freestyle right? The Theory feature rocker tip and tail but this profile is more directional and so is the shape so for park they wouldn't be my first choice. Norwalks are a new addition to Armada's line for this coming season, they are designed for big mountain/powder skiing and feature full camber throughout with a rockered tip, again not my first choice for park skiing. The AR7 is the most park oriented of the bunch.
