Wide feet and boots

So my feet are messed up. Not normal. Super wide and super high arches. I have worn the same ghetto basic pair of ski boots the past 3 or 4 seasons because they feel decent and are broken in. But they are falling apart and i need new boots for this season. I was also getting pretty bad shin bang from them.

I have one shop in town I would do business with but they do not carry fulltilts. I know fulltilt now has a 102 mm boot that's supposedly made for wider feet but i would have to order them without trying them on.  My shop on the other hand has the new and old line of nordica boots of every which kind and i could get them fitted molded ect. My question is what boot line is generally wider and what I should do? I would rather have them feel better and deal with shinbang but if i could have neither that would be great. My shop has the 2011-1012 nordica boots that are green with pink buckles...i forgot the name of them, but they'd sell them to me for $250. Good deal? They said they were made for park riding too supposedly.

The best advice I can give is go to a bootfitter. Your gonna hear it alot but it's the best way to go.

It's great your supporting local shops but if they dont do high quality boot fitting, go to a boot shop. Boots are the one thing you dont want to skimp on.

Find good bootfitter, get some good boots (fitted properly), get some custom footbeds(super highly recommended) by the time you get your shit together winter will be here. then Profit.

At first it'll seem expensive but in the long run it will pay off. A lot in time and money

the new salomon crossmax 100 has a complete custom shell. by complete i mean the whole lower part, it can be turned into a 104 from a 98. Tecnica also has a boot called the phnx hvl. it stands for high volume, go to a boot fitter. he or she will have better insight then you, get a boot that fits, not a ft because they look cool. P.S I AM NOT SAYING THE XMAN AND PHNX ARE THE BOOT FOR YOU, ESPECIALLY THAT XMAN CAUSE NATURALLY ITS A 98, but in my boot fitting experience, those could be two very possible options, the phnx over the xmax obviously

I work at a shop and do not get spks unless they are the perfect fit for you. they may be considered a "park boot" but all they are is some plastic and buckles, they are absolutely horrible for your feet and legs, there is no support as a real ski boot should have. If you are looking for a wider park boot i would say dalbello voodoo. they are a 103. Structurally they are the best park boot in my opinion. Sure full tilts are all cool and stuff, but its 30 year old technology.. The dalbellos are structurally the best park boot right now, those and any of the dalbello park boots.

But in the end, just go to a bootfitter!!!! best decision you can make. This is just my personal opinion. oh and with the high arch definitely get some footbeds.

If they have a boot in your size, and they will fit it for you, and it's a decent price, I'm not sure what your question is.

Get the boots.  Get the shop guys to fit them.  Ski them and enjoy.

or

Buy trend-whore boots online.  Post questions about them.  Wonder how to get rid of shin bang.  THen go see bootfitter and buy the proper boots you should have got in the first place.
