haha. The reason it's so great is that I believe a lot of folks have been waiting for a guy like Nye to snap and flip out. It's not like half the onion stories which are funny based on ridiculous. This is funny because it's actually something we could all see happening.

I agree with you on some points. I kind of agree with the vid for some reason. Denial of science is quite absurd but if your religion practices and beliefs make you strive to do good then so be it. It's also up to the parents to decide of they want their kids to have their beliefs. Again, if that's what you deem is right for your kids and it's going to make them good people then so be it.

hahaha whattt?! Dude. I met him at a seminar done on a university campus. He spoke with folks afterwards. I shook his hand. Told him I was a fan and that he helped me develop my love of science growing up. He was super genuine and humbly thanked me and gave credit to all the scientists before him who figured out all the cool stuff he was sharing. He signed some kid's 8th grade biology textbook, haha.

maybe the people you know were just douchebags to him and he responded poorly.
