I know that I love to slide a rail, hit a jump, ski through trees and slash insane turns in pow. I don't differentiate which part of the sport is better than another, just on certain days I want one, on others another. So hats off to you, Newschoolers. Good selection of a photo, and nice work being open minded.

I don't think its so much that you have to be open minded to enjoy pow... its that many people (and media sources) who consider themselves pow aficionados hate the park. They never let it go.

Newschoolers is constantly stereotyped as the 'skittle kids' (thanks you crazy bastard) - yet as a community we frequently choose a badass pow shot for cover.

Its rad that the open-mindedness towards all aspects of skiing isn't only one-way. Looks like the park rats score a few points for appreciating more than one part of the sport.

I think I'm over sensitive because I always hear too many people saying things like "Those newschoolers kids... if they only knew how to ski and would do anything else other than park..."

I'm always like:

There's tons of pow all over NS, from edits to the sell/trade forum. The cool thing is the bridging of tricks and aggressivly creative in terrain we access ourselves, whether that's in the streets or mountains. Newschoolers represents a large part of this bridge.

God, that shot combined with all the trailers coming out now is depressing as shit.
Still no skiing on the EC for a while, but its getting to cold to waterski. Been dreaming of skiing on a regular basis for the last ~5 months too.

I completely agree! I was stoked out of my mind when you choose an urban shot of me for the cover last winter, now heres the last couple of photos I've uploaded more recently... I like to do it all :) Respect all aspects of the sport and those who are pushing the envelope.
