i just got this great lens with a nd filter now what should i get next i'm thinking solid tripod or maybe glidecam.Any suggestions and i know you are going to ask whats my budget and i'm working up to whatever is suggested.
I'd get a good tripod, then glidecam, if you want to do followcams urgently, make a diy vibration dampener out of pvc and weights and that'll do you until you have enough for a glidecam.
I'd say tripod and then glidecam. even though i think you're a fucking idiot and a plague in M&A, i'll still help you. even if you wanted to shoot more follows than stationary, a tripod might be a better bet. you can make a DIY steadicam for pretty cheap that works DECENTLY, and then upgrade that when you see fit. a decent tripod will probably pay off if you ever get hired to do video for someone, a glidecam won't. a tripod is also more versatile, hell, you can even use it for follows somewhat (this might not work on a dslr very well).
yea i shoot skating and things almost every weekend and some days i just got the new lens so and have no money i just want to know what im working for now and what about those tripod legs and a 701 tripod head or 501 dont know to much about them
lol they are the cheapest legs. he didnt ask about legs he asked about a tripod and you have no fucking idea what youre talking about. just stop posting in m&a you are consistently wrong.
i mean, if you hadn't been spewing so much fucking retarded shit in to m&a recently, i probably wouldn't have said anything. why do you feel the need to "contribute" so much dumb shit in here?
The 701 head is pretty good for its price. It is definitively not the best head out there but for the price I have no problems recommending it. Maybe also look into the Manfrotto 502HD head, I don't know much about it but it looks pretty good and it is almost the same price as the 701 head.
I just got my tamron 17-50 in the post and when I opened it the filter ring wiggles back and forwards easily, and if I shake it it moves aswell, is this a fault? and should I return it?
In the pic here the green filter ring wiggles back and forwards along the purple section:
These materialistic "shopping list" approaches to video suck all the fun out of it.
Don't buy anything. Use your new lens, experiment, and grow as an artist so that when the time comes you will already know what you need, and you won't have to ask a bunch of random people to project which company's marketing schemes they've fallen victim to that particular week.
just buy a goddamn tripod. Which tripod you want depends on your budget but i say get a manfrotto. one of the douches (eheath and the others) is going to say im an idiot for recommending it, but i dont give a fuck.
