How do i move unpublished pictures from media to viewable picture albums?

Click on the i then set from private to a categorie

correct, go to 'my media' in the upper left hand corner, next to your icon
then mark 'unpublished only' to display only your unpublished or private media.
go to the desired picture and press on the little 'i' symbol in the upper left corner, then set category to something other than 'private'
