hey guys ive done my research but just wanted ur opinions, which one should i get, i liked the d3100 for a while but due to the lack of auto focus im not liking that. But ya which one is better they are very similar but everybody always says t2i over t3i and they still cost more at the stores near me in boston. Anybody o[pinions would be great appreciated. peace
They are pretty much the exact same camera. If a flip out screen is important to you, get a t3i, but if you don't feel you'll need it, save your money and get a t2i.
I prefer the layout of the t2i. I feel like Canon almost tried too hard to make it user friendly for the t3i, but I'm sure you would get use to either one.
Either way, the t3i is only more expensive for the flip out screen. Everything else is the same.
The swivel screen is worth it, but not for 100 bucks. They're basically the same camera. But if you're willing to bulk up the 100 bucks, it'll be nicer for filming. For photography i'd go for the t2i
