I think you're confusing Obama with Bush.
I have too much shit to do to get all buck nutty with links and sources and shit, but if you were being objective in your assesments you'd know that Conservative fiscal policy took us from a surplus to a mind blowing defecit in less than 8 years.
It should serve as a warning that deregulation of industry, lack of taxation and irresponsible military spending WILL fuck our country. Also the gross wielding of power our conservatives have shown us in the past few years a la the debt ceiling debacle when they held our financial world hostage with the threat of chopping off our own head just to spite our face if they didn't get their way and costing us our country's credit rating in the process. Also the photo ID voter law they recently enacted in Republican states that could exclude literally millions of poor and elderly from being able to vote this year- who wouldn't vote for Romney though, so who cares... And then you have the direct admission by republicans in power that openly stated that "Our biggest mission should be to limit Obama to one term at any cost"- How is anybody supposed to get anything done with that attitude on the other side??? It's actually a fucking miracle anything at all happened. I'm not even going to touch their fucking travesty of a human rights and social program stance as this is more of a quantitative argument, but there's that too.
Do you really want to give that party power again? They fucked us once, took us from surplus to defecit and damaged the system that worked damn well so bad it'll take decades to fix, got thousands of Americans killed on flat out lies and spend trillions of dollars we don't have, destabilized the financial and industry sectors across the country along the way, got WAY FUCKING CRAZIER and now they want another crack at it without changing ANY of their plans or ideals of taking form the people to give to the military. Look, Romney is just Bust 2.0- faster, stronger, better looking and with better financial background to make him a much sexier puppet to prop up there and call President. I mean they've literally told you they want to cut every social program across the board AND GIVE THE RICH ANOTHER TAX BREAK along with making the one they already have permanent. Mix that in with the argument above that they already exercise a million loopholes and so already pay a small percentage of their actual govt-alloted percentage, what are they even requiring from them?? Very little, and comparably- almost nothing really. A drop from their olympic swimming pool, respectively- I feel It's quite unfair to the middle class that can be responsible for paying out well over a quarter of their earnings and who don't enjoy international tax evasion exemptions.
We actually ARE much better off as a country thatn we were when Obama took office. He won the presidency when the country was at war and in the worst shape it's been in for decades, had to fight tooth and nail through a cockblocking conservative party's efforts to stop anything he was attempting, and I absolutely think that we are on the upswing- anybody who says differently is not paying attention to any actual factual information and is just blowing hot air because Obama didn't snap his fingers and throw the recession out like a drunk frat guy in a tittie bar. I mean come on.
