Hey, I was wondering if it actually is, or if you just haven't changed it since NSG had more threads. It could have more views, or individual posts, but I don't know.

i wonder this too. personally I visit NSG the most, SG the second and so on. They're close, though.

NSG has had more threads than SG since 2003. Some would say that was the beginning of the end. Abortionator and Mattman would disagree.

They duke it out for popularity. Mid-winter SG does really well, often topping NSG. Summertime though, NSG definitely takes over.

For me I visit GearTalk most, then I spend equal time on SG & NSG

I don't hear much bitching about Ski Gabber, but I always hear it about NSG (mid-summer or not). Quality over quantity.

You also could argue that SG has been split out into other sections over the years. STuff like Gear Talk, Buy/Sell, etc are all spawned from SG. So the 'ski talk' portion of the sites as a whole are larger.

It is definitely impressive the scale of NSG - but its common that you talk about non-skiing stuff with your buddies. I mean all chairlift or apres-talk isn't only about skiing.

NSG represents the common bond between us skiers as normal people with normal (and sometimes weird) thoughts.

I go to both, Ski gabber more and then certaon threads in NSG, I also go to New England regionals a lot, which is by far the most popular of all of them.

the problem arises in the fact that for much of the world, the ski season is 3 months and the off season is 9 months. so you have 25% of the time actually skiing and 75% waiting for it and being bored.
