broke my collarbone as well playing hockey during my first shift of the first game of the season two years ago.

played the rest of the game /claim, then it started to hurt and i realized i couldn't lift my arm above my shoulder.... trainer had to cut my pads off, went to the hospital, got the diagnosis, went home, recovered in 6 weeks, finished off the season.

Collarbone was definitely not a fun bone for me to break - nose of my board stuck into the snow and flipped me straight over. Still in the V shape to this day since they only have that figure 8 sling to pull it back. Taking a shower was the worst.

I've also fractured my right wrist twice.

When I snowboard my bones don't break, they shatter.

Shattered my collar bone. Couldn't snowboard, could build the parks, couldn't fap right handed, couldn't make food well, couldn't put on layers of warm shit very well, fuck.

How bad is it? Is it where they pretty much just leave it and let it heal with a nice bump in it? Or do you have to get surgeries.

I only had to have 2 surgeries on mine, a plate and some screws. I don't think my arm will ever be near 100% though. I'm just aiming for close enough. I don't have to throw a baseball ever again so it's all good.

Hang in there man. Also you can still play xbox with the controller at your side. So you can do that at least. Hopefully you're not in school. Injuries and having to deal with school blow. Especially if it's your writing hand?

My left handed signatures were lols. If I ever steal someones identity I'm gonna put a sling on my right arm, tell them I'm hurt and then sign really poorly and they won't have any idea that I was fucking with them and didn't want to have to actually do a nice forge.

Shattered my collarbone, fractured 4 vertebrete, all my fingers on one hand, and some other injurys in a car wreck over the summer.

I can tell anyone that hasn't broken their collarbone that it is one of the most painful things ever. Especially surgery ha its agonizing afterwords.

yep i feel you for sure, i'm a month and half into a broken clavicle/collar bone.. Shit suck that's for sure, haven't been doing anything for the past month or so, getting super bored. Have to where a brace at all times pretty much, but overall it could have been worse and i should be back to normal in a couple weeks..

but for me this was my first serious injury, and for the most party it really wasn't bad. the first two weeks was the worst, but sense then everythings been getting better day by day..

What'd they do for the vertabre? Mine wasn't bad enough that they needed to do anything wild, just left it. Didn't heal right though but fuck it.

The first surgery they gave me a nerve blocker. That was pretty sweet. Stab me in the fucking neck with a big needle while I can see this shit happening on the ultra sound screen. "Don't move or you'll fuck it up". I'm not trying to fucking move but you have a fucking needle in my neck.

With the nerve blocker still sort of working, the post surgery drugs lingering a little, and some more drugs, it wasn't TOO bad for the first little bit. I think I was out of the hospital for a couple hours before the real fun fest hit.

- I'd like to take this moment to apologize to anyone who I was a dick to. I know you'll never see this but I don't feel like tracking you down. I was a cranky child. Also, a 6 hour road trip home with my parents 12 hours after surgery didn't help.

Did anybody else get one of those dank ice cooler things? You put the ice in it and it pumps cold water around your shoulder? That thing was awesome. Had a chair next to the woodstove with my xbox and a bunch of movies. Crank up the fire, get the shoulder ice cold, and watch some movies.

And op, if you don't have one of those things, get one. You can prolly borrow one from someone who's had that surgery if they don't have them where ever you go to get your shit fixed.

Same thing happened to my buddy, but he was got speed wobble while bombing a hill at about 30, fell off to the side of the road, and tumbled off of a small drop into a creek. Broke that fucker in two spots. I tried the hill earlier and told him that his trucks were too loose cause I got speed wobble too and ate it on the pavement, but he didnt listen.

Collar bones suck. Best advice I can give, is to take it easy. When I broke mine, I didn't. Now my collar bone sticks out, makes wearing backpacks very uncomfortable.

I broke my shoulder blade 2 weeks ago in a motorcycle accident, same shoulder... It's going to be all jacked up now. I need to find one more bone to break in the shoulder to go for 3.

Broke my ankle skateboarding then 2 weeks after I recovered I got into a fight and broke my hand. Had surgery on both unfortuantly and have nice matching scar on my hand and ankle

Biking in whistler, I broke my wrist in two spots along with bending my growthplate, breaking my collarbone, and getting nerve damage on my knee. That was a shitty/awesome summer kinda. Then a couple years later, I broke my hand on one of my friends head. That sucked so much, it was right before spring break.

Which hand is it. Hopefully not your dominant. Glad I didn't have a lot of shit to right. Just had to sign stuff, fill out some forms but nothing like school work. Also got pretty damn solid at lefty typing and going back and forth to the mouse.

Biggest obstacles were probably shifting lefty and wiping my ass lefty. Saddest part was no right handed fappage. Then I started to feel a little bit healed then BOOM surgery 2.

I'm glad they fixed it though. IT was in pretty rough shape. If I lived in a ghetto country I would ave the most fucked looking shoulder and would never be able to use my right arm again.

My seatbelt shattered my collarbone when I tomahawked my car into a hydro pole. Def not a fun break, you cant do shit! Good luck with the recovery dude, and for gods sake do EVERYTHING physio tells you, wish I could have my range of motion back...
