how can i safely clean overspray white spray paint off my screen?

i let a buddy use my laptop whenever he wanted, and he used it for music in the shop, next to his truck, while he painted it. I'm undecided how I should appropriately express my gratitude.

i'm hesitant to dump acetone or paint thinner all over it. i have a AW m17x, so i need something to safely clean whatever material they use for it. (i know, i'm sorry, i paid an extra grand for the name. I have my regrets.)

please help me before i go all God Bless America up in this neighborhood

Perhaps just some normal screen cleaner fluid?

think it would dissolve/remove paint well enough? i can scratch it off with a fingernail so it's not bonded like hulk, but i don't want to waste all month doing that..

definitely not this. sounds like he'd fuck it up worse.

i know a lot of screens have an important coating that things that dissolve paint would likely destroy. thats all i can offer though

i know nothing about your computer. if the screen is glass you should not have any problems with a removing solution like paint thinner of acetone. just make sure to keep it on the screen only

Nail polish remover? Idk if it's safe for plastic or not, maybe try it on something else that's plastic first

He thought it was ventilated enough of an area but ended up being wrong, im not too upset but its still a bummer

Use a solution called matzenbachers I'm not sure if it's okay for laptop screens. But my parents used it on a computer monitor. I'm pretty sure it's safe here's there link http://www.dutchguard.com/motsenbockers.html

acetone does not dissolve glass. however depending on the plastic, it might dissolve that, so see if you can figure out the kind of plastic, then see if acetone dissolves it, if not then give it a shot.

Di-SOLV-IT! It takes grease stains out of clothes and everything. I think you can get it at home depot or lowes but strongly suggest trying it out.
