They have a specific anti rotational attachment for skiing. Not sure how it works exactly. But I do know that asterisk braces also have anti rotational tethers. In concept how they work is they transfer the rotational force into your brace (instead of the knee) and then into your hip which can take it since it is a ball and socket joint not a hinge.
As to the leg being stronger: if you read above I am never supposed to ski again (I had a 1% chance of walking 0% of running yet I do all those fine now). Now I have a loose MCL LCL PCL that causes a lot of laxity in the knee so I need a brace if I am going to ski. No way around that was just wondering if this would be a better option than the donjoy since it has the anti rotational aspect.
