I highly recomend you get the right racks for your vehicle. STORY TIME This summer i met up with some friends to go ride Dh up at northstar. He drives a wanna be rice rocket honda accord, Anyways we load my bike on(45 pound dh bike) and put it next to 2 XC bikes. everything is strapped in nice and tight and everything fit's perfectly. So we get on the freeway and this dude slams the pedal and gets up to about 75 mph. about 10 seconds later it feels like a tire went out and i looked out the back window to see all 3 bikes slide/crush there way off of the car and follow us down the highway for about 100 yards before they stopped. He pulled over and i ran back and grabbed the bikes and pulled em out of the fats lane before some one slammed into them. Turns out he had the wrong conections on his accord and they were ment for his old civic. None of the bikes were damaged, they just slid standing up and didnt flip or anything it was amazing. We could have lost over 9000 dollers in bike's . GET THE RIGHT RACK FOR YOU SHIT.
