strept tonsolitis

so here i am, sitting in my room at rez with tonsolitis and strept throught. My University's medical clinique is so stupid because its closed on weekends, giving me the worst weekend of my life. I havnt eaten in 3 days, i cant sleep because there is too much pain, and i only today got antibiotics. Im kinda pissed. The doctor when she diognosed me actually cringed when she looked at the back of my mouth. My question is has this happened to anyone on here befor? how long does it take to go away now that im on antibiotics?

I dunno but I've had the worst sore throat ever for 5 days now and I never get sick. I'm trying to study for a midterm this evening and I can hardly concentrate.

i've had strept throat too many times... i have little holes in the back part of my mouth from it. it sucks sooo much. i feel your pain... well half of it... i've never had tonsilitis(sp??)

its the same thing. Tonsilitis is when you have bacterial or viral infection on the tonsils. strep throat is when the tonsilitis is caused by the strep bacteria

i know exactly how you feel. had the same thing about a month ago. after about 24 hours on the antibiotics i could eat soft stuff again and drink stuff but it still hurt. after 48 hours i could eat pretty much everything but it still hurt, but by around the 5th day everything seems to be back to normal for the most part.

don't listen to him yo I just had a month long bout of tonsilitis thanks to my belief that my bong can cure any and all ailments

Im on antibiotcis now for strept. Its my 5 day with it and my 2nd full day on the antibiotics and I feel 100%. They work almost instantaneously, but don't stop taking them till you're finished
