Bong Repair

Well I'm an idiot and long story short, I broke the base clean off of my bong. Luckily it was my cheaper bong that I bring out at night and shit but anyways the base is shattered into about 15 pieces, definitely can't glue it back together. Anyone have any recommendations as to how to get it fixed? I was thinking of going to a headshop and seeing if they could hook me up with a glass blower or some shit, seems like it would be a pretty easy fix to attach a new base. Does this seem plausible?

Yeah it would probably be more efficient and frugal to just get a new piece, otherwise plastercine and 5 pounds of super tape

I'd rather not buy a new piece, I love this bong so much and I've had it for ages, I'd rather just find a way to get a new base attached. I have another piece anyways

dont bring any pieces of it into a head shop. thats for sure.

just buy a new piece. yours was cheap anyways and served its purpose. now its time to upgrade.

What do you mean pieces? I was planning on just bringing the tube itself. And I don't really need to upgrade, I have a roor already and I have no plans on buying yet another piece

the reason head shops can get away with selling pipes/bongs and such is because they are used for "tobacco use." if there is any sign of weed use on it (smell, residue, ect..) they will ignore you, maybe even call the cops. you really arnt even suposed to use the term "bong" in a shop, you're supposed to say "water pipe".

its broken, go buy a bubbler for like 50 dollars so you dont waste your money again, its worth it because it will filter out the ash and stuff and its more portable so you can bring it outside and be a bit more stealthy.

Use some epoxy, I used the 5 min version If it let me post pictures I would... But I used a ceramic wax melter top (after I trimmed the base of the bong to fit semetricaly) to mold the base. I also used some wheel bearing grease as a release agent/lube I did it last week, and was kind of enjoying the bowl on the bottom of the base, but alas after cleaning today the mold came loose. I think I'm going glue it back...

Get some clay sort of shit and build a new base. Really only option I see, besides buying a new piece. But hoenstly I did the same thing to my piece and dealt with it for like 9 months not being able to stand on its own haha

Swift to the rescue. I'm sure OP has had it sitting in a box under his bed just waiting for his knight in shining armor to show up on the webz one starry night and help him fix his bong.

OP what you need is a bong made out of real glass. Most bongs out there are made out of shit china glass. Real glass is more expensive but it's so worth it. My bong is thicker than most skulls and it has survived many falls.
