px12 is defiantly to weak for someone your size

Alright thanks, what about the Rossi Axial2 120?  The axium look cheaper but not really sure what the main difference is between them

you will be fine with:

Axial2 120 is the same binding as the PX12 just rebranded. The Axium, smae binding as the NX are cheaper but the are lower quality. The Axium features the Dual Action II toe piece and Axium+ heel piece where as the Axial2 120 features Dual Action III toe and Axial heel piece. Regardless at you height and if you're a 3+ skier then a 14 din may be better suited, as you'll sit in the middle of the din range. 14 dins are a little pricier however you can pick up some quality deals. Although you could save yourself the hassle and buy in side the UK, snowtrax has great prices on right now in the sub £200 range, http://www.snowtraxstore.co.uk/.

I'd recommend something by Rossi, the FKS look really good seeing as how you want to do more park than anything, and since I have rossi bindings myself (6' 1") and they work perfectly well for me, they would work well for you.  They also have that sick orange colour haha

I'm pretty much the same height and weight as u, I'm riding a fks 14 rode a Sth 12 driver last year, loved it.

This would be a great choice if your on a budget. Jester and FKS are great but expensive. And Just to give you some more options here.

The binding is the Tyrolia peak 15. Just rebranded through 4frt. It's a very good advanced binding. Cause it's underrated you can get them pretty cheap.

And as far as the 12px vs 12px jib. I have the jib. they put a different cover on it. They also put some plastic under the heel and claim it to be "shock absorbers". other than that its the exact same thing.

At your size and ability, you could go to the 12 din or the 14 din. I say the question is how much progression are you thinking about? I'm 5'9'' 170lbs and I'll hit 20ft booters no problems on the px12 jib.
I say if your gonna grow (whether in size or abilty) by a lot in the next couple years go to a 14 din.   If your easing your self into it or maybe gonna get another pair of skis in the not to far future, go with a 12 din to save some money.  They will work fine. IF your going with a 12 din this is what I'd choose from.

I'm hoping to progress quite a bit over the next couple of years, however i'm pretty limited the amount I get to ski each year, which sucks...but thinking a 14 might be a better shout anyway.

So..I think i've been swayed towards the Axial2 140...sounds like a real decent binding for the price.  If I can find a good deal on the FKS (or have an impulse purchase moment) I might be tempted.

Thanks for the links, the deal at evo looks good!  Suppose i'd just need to swap the brakes for the 90mm, but still works out cheap.

As I said, I'm in the states on Saturday for the 2 weeks so i'll try and get something sorted.  Would be cool to check out a few shops too, but there probably aren't that many ski shops in San Diego!

That is the same binding but with a bigger brake (120). You could buy it and just swap brakes. But then you need to buy different brakes. But saw these.

Yeah, it's pretty cheap even with buying an extra brake.  I was tempted to find some in the green/orange, but i've heard that scratch pretty easily, so myabe grey is best anyway.

Thanks for the link domains are 90mm so I think i'd need the equivalen of the 'L' binding..?  Not sure if the 80mm would fit.

Did Rossi do the axial2 140 in the fluro yellow, or was it just grey? I tried to find yellow ones but no luck-just grey.

ok so i changed my mind and decided to splash out on the FKS 140. Leaving to go back to UK on the 22nd, so hoping to find some over here (CA).
