Who has been on the retreat, who plans on going. Im going back in September as a leader and Im in the process of choosing my songs. Im assuming there arnt many people from ns, but its worth a shot.

Roman Catholic. Before the hate comes in, Im not a hard core raging catholic. I just go to a catholic private school and this retreat is a requirement to graduate. But that being said it was also an amazing experience.

I went years back, and not to ruin it for anyone, but didn't get too much out of it. I've never been a very religious person, and it was actually about 2 months after my Dad passed, so I was very in the dumps/far from a believer in anything. It was, however, a great chance to collect my thoughts and reflect on everything. My experience aside, a lot of my friends really loved and learned from it a lot more than I had, and I would still recommend it to anyone in the high school years looking to learn more about themselves and their faith. I went last October and I thought it was a great experience. Going into it I didnt think much of it, but kept an open mind. It was just a great time to really explore my thoughts and what not. I didnt come out of it with a different view on the world, but I definitely made some great friends and had an awesome time. To those who dont want to go due for religious reasons, go anyway, cause its a great time socially as well. I really dont know how to explain it, its just a amazingly great time.

My small group and I came up with a saying on ours, k76:
Smoke an eight, drink a fifth, LT4.

thats whats so great about it though, you could not belive in god but still have an amazing time on the retreat.

Went on one and was a really good experience. I was surprised as it was more spiritual based and not necessarily Focused on religion.

The spiritual aspect is great, even if you're not a religious person like myself. I think if you have the means, and you keep an open mind, you should go. LT4
