From what I'v heard their mediumish flex with some hingepoints in the tip and tail for buttering

Seeing as how they are called the pipestars I assume they are on the stiffer side

yes, they will jib just fine. they are on the stiff side, as mentioned.
If buttering is your thing I would suggest the PURE. Its BAD ASS. I ski it everywhere all the time (until I get a pure st (pow version)).
They stomp, butter, spin, carve, and float amazingly. I would say however, pipe is not their strong point.
Give them a shot...theyre dope

No not really. AWESOME jump and pipe ski but not especially playful or buttery. At least not for someone like me at 5'8" 135.
