Don Thomas Rail Jam

It's that time of year again boys and girls. I've attended this even every year, even when working for Boyne, its a lot of fun. The Don Thomas Birmingham Rail Jam will be held September 22nd in the same spot it always is. Registration is now open at http://boneheadx.com/birmingham-rail-jam/
Rebecca Selig big mountain ripper and ex park rat michigan native will be in attendance, she is one of the coolest people on the planet and will talk to you about skiing FOREVER.

I'll probably be there unless I have work. It really kinda sucked last year though. Much better two years ago. Gotta step up your game. Also, when are you guys planning to get most of this year's gear? There was a lot of new stuff in by mid September last year. I'm getting antsy for ski season and want to see some new shit haha.

Whole new setup this year. The features are gonna be at the bottom on the drop in ramp, instead of on the downslope. They will have most of their shit in by the end of the month, or by the time the rail jam comes around.

I'll be there for sure, but last year the skiers only got to ride for like an hour, and I showed up an hour late from Columbus and they didn't let me ride.. Is USASA putting it on again? Any chance skiers will have a longer time to ride? It's an 8-9 hour round trip for me.

I cant make it i've got a cc meet in lansing that day, i might try to skip out on that, and come to this tho, because this looks 1000x more fun. do they have an open jam after like boyne?

I don't think they have in the past. If I remember correctly, I think the judges hit it for a while after the comp a couple years ago, but they shut it down pretty quick. Not to mention the last few years it's been over 70 degrees, so the snow melts ridiculously fast and by the end the snowboarders could barely even hit the rails, let alone the skiers.

Damn, looks sick. I only had a chance to walk through for like 10 minutes because I had stuff to do that day, and didn't even see any of the skiing which was kind of a bummer. Looks like a lot of people stepped up their game this year. It definitely seemed to up people's confidence with the easier features, at least from what I saw from the snowboarders.

I ride the alpine. Yeah there was definatley some good skiing there. Jordan did you get anything of me that was half decent?

not really to be honest. i put in your least sketchy looking shot. you defiantly had more technical tricks, but that was the best looking IMO.
