Now I know many of you have liberal views and support the democratic party, so I ask that you respect this post and keep the useless hate out (its ok to disagree). This should be an intelligent conversation.

With that said, I can begin. I just watched his speech at the RNC, and I can honestly say I have never been so impressed and excited about what a politician has had to say. He nailed every key point for me, and if his claims come true, I see America becoming a much healthier (in many aspects of the word) nation in the near future. Honestly I wish he was running for president instead of Romney. Watching his speech I kept saying 'fuck yea!' Finally someone gets it. He understands this country is a business and is failing miserably.

I really hope we get to see him in the VP office next year. I wasn't too pumped on Romney being the Rep. representative, but now that Ryan is his running mate and hearing his view, I have way more faith in the future of this country's government.

i do not understand how anyone in there right mind could vote for rommney. He flips his ideals every speech, and his "views" on healthcare are the opposite of his own running mate

Yes I like Paul Ryan and I'm actually anti-abortion. I don't plan on getting "rapped" but if I were to end up pregnant from a rape, I would carry the child and then decide at a later time if I wanted to raise the child or put it up for adoption. Anyway, that's not what this thread is about. I was just simply stating that I liked him.

Don't take this the wrong way, but that is the thing about rape....no body plans on it. The assumption that your would do something differently than a rape survivor is problematic because being violated in that way is something you and I (hopefully) will never understand. Moreover how we would feel about getting pregnant that way is impossible to imagine, you can speculate as much as you want...it is one thing to say what you think you would do and another to actually have to make that decision in that horrific situation. Whether or not you believe it is God's will for you to be impregnated by a rapist is a personal decision, to engage governmental controls to assert decisions of faith is not only bad policy but extremely judgemental....and surprisingly enough goes against the whole rugged individualism that the Republicans are so famous for.

He strapped a dog carrier to the roof of his car, that had a windshield built onto it.

How exactly is that cruel or or mean? How is that ANY different than this? Which I see on a daily basis.

What's a little bit different is that in Romney's case, he noticed the dog's liquid shit running down the back window, pulled off the highway to hose down the dog and the car, and continued on with the dog on the roof.

I dont understand how this is something that people are completely willing to overlook. Yes, the candidates politics are what really matter, but either way, you're giving this guy a job. If you're an employer, checking someone's background, and you were to find a piece of information like this, it would be game over. Unfortunately, there don't seem to be politicians who come out to be entirely wholesome. Basically fuck the whole thing. American politics suck.

I completely disagree. This matters because it gives people a glimpse into his unbelievably poor judgement. If you think strapping a dog to the roof of your car (i don't care what it was in) is acceptable, you clearly show a complete lack of judgement and do not deserve to be the President of the most powerful country in the world.

But if you want to talk about "real arguments", the trickle-down economics that Romney/Ryan promote has never worked and will never work. It destroys the middle class and makes the rich richer as they simply throw their extra money in tax havens. It will not create new jobs. This is a fact. Google it.

As for the $16 trillion in debt that someone else mentioned: don't you think the two simultaneous decade-long wars may have contributed to that? Just a little bit? Putting the entire blame for that on Obama is a COMPLETE joke.

Again, Im not Romney supporter, but there are a thousand better arguments. If he had taken the dog out of the car and shot it by the side of the road, fine you have a point, but he put it in a crate on the roof. There are plenty of other poor judgment calls political figures have had that are far more relevant than the doggy.
