yes sir, i live in VA though where it didnt really get under 40 all season so its all I needed, its a sick layer in my mind. But it is cotton and it gets cold and wet.
i like to ride in the flannel. its something different than most peoples sweatshirt or t shirt combo. and I feel like it doesnt get as wet as a hoody or t shirt. different materials.
I occasionally ski in my Jiberish flannel. It's like (for me) wearing a hoodie but without all the hassle of having the hood obscure your vision every time you ride switch.
Plus you can wear them off hill without them looking stupidly down at your knee caps...
i have a timberland flannel thats 100% polyester, never soaks or freezes.. great for warm days. also, flannels having no hood is a huge plus for layering.
i sometimes enjoy a large flannel and a big ass vest, but it doesn't really matter dude, wear whatever you want, you aint gotta be looking like every other person on the mountain, ya feel me?
To the issue of water absorbency in the cotton: any thoughts on waterproofing it? I'm thinking of creating an entirely unique outfit for visiting some millionaire friends in bend, or. this upcoming winter. I'm creating a ski outfit from the ground up. I'm starting with a dope white steve madden (from ross) belt that I own, I look good in plaid flannel, and I plan to spend less than $5 (easy: mackelmore practically consulted me for his thrift shop video), from head to toe. Already have a can of waterproofing spray, borrowing equipment. Want to make a good impression lol.. Thanks, anybody who's still out there...
