Still doing a ranked team?


Played with jcc03skis and another guy (sorry don't remember your NS name) the other day the opposing team had a fiddle jungle so naturally we invaded killed him and another.....we had a great game, unfortunately we had a Xin that only wanted to lane and farm, he went like 12/17/2 with 270 farm...he'd always die and never team fight......

I played ez and went 14-5-5

Trying to get really good with ez to justify the pulsefire ez skin because that thing is sick.

my CS is low but i just started roaming after 10 minutes due to 3/0 vs the other mid.

Just bought fizz, so this is still while im learning him. CS is incredibly shitty. i know.

Me and some buds have been playing norm 5v5, a group of 3 of us, one of us is Volibear, one Blitzcrank, and one Singed. All of us have some kind of CC where its a toss or a pull. Its fucking hilarious to combo, we just roam around and yank people out of towers/platform to a very vulnerable position. Often they are dead before they hit the ground cause they are just getting tossed around. Its great. Just make sure you have an ADC to do damage and assist while you are tossing people.

Ya were doing a ranked team still but ill also duo queue with people and either play mid or raka/taroc support. Went 1/0/35 as raka the other day in ranked. Twas awesome!

Not too bad, we played a ranked game being that it was one of our first games as a team, so we weren't even ranked.

Seriously though, why do people play LoL instead of WoW? I've been playing wow for a year now, i'm still pretty bad at it, but LoL just seems kind of pointless if it's an easier version of WoW, or so my friends tell me.

There is nothing remotely similar between the 2 games. Its like comparing Call of Duty to Solitaire.

WoW = MMORPG

LoL = MOBA

2 different games just like a FPS isnt anything like a RPG...

And LoL has one of the steepest if not the steepest learning curve out of any game. Especially if you're new to MOBA games like I was when I started. Playing and getting to learn the movesets of over 100 champs takes a long long time to learn and even when you hit 30, the game completely changes once you start ranked and organized teamplay.

LoL is nothing like WoW (2 Completely different styles of games) and your friends who told you that are retarded.

Anyways, my Taric support after 3 games has resulted in 2 wins and 1 loss. 1-1 in normals and 1-0 in ranked. Average assists is 15 and i've had 3 deaths in all 3 games combined.

Needless to say I love Taric and he's OP as hell with any decent ADC alongside. Just wait for that 1 moment when the enemy ADC shows his face a little too far and BAM, kill.

Oh give me a Shurelyas first, jungle boots, and an aegis and its GG. I can be everywhere on the map whenever I want and I'm a sprinting, buffing, stunning, machine. Also quite tanky with that 160 armor I'll have by lvl 8 and that 260 armor by end game with no problem.

Well seeing how LoL is the most played game in the world right now and all of the money and pros are playing LoL I'll still say that its better than HoN. Or else people would be playing HoN and Dota 2 moreso than LoL.

The reason people continue to play LoL is because they've already memorized all the spells and items. Nobody wants to start playing a new game and be terrible all over again because they don't anything about the characters. The sole difficulty of MOBA games is in memorizing the ridiculous amount of shit they put into the game. Switching between two MOBA games is not like switching between fps games. In fps, skill carries over. In MOBA, you have to restart at square one.



League of Legends doesn't even allow denying for christ's sake. Anybody with half brain knows that Dota 2 is the better game.

I'd love to see all the people that complain about Blitz's hook see Pudges hook in Dota 2. They'd be shitting bricks.

I dont know, I tried Dota 2 and it just didn't do it for me. I feel like you don't get punished as much in Dota 2 for making a bad play which allows for more sloppy play. I played about 50 games of Dota 2 and i felt like I could just run around the map and do whatever I wanted without too much worry. The creep denying thing is cool but it wouldn't fit in with LoL. It would completely change the game and people would just kill their own creeps all day instead of trying to get farm thus making progression and leveling slower and everybody starving for gold...

*You've been playing Call of Duty and other FPS games your whole life. Any person who plays a variety of games at least knows what a MMORPG is... Not many people know what MOBA means but again, they are brainwashed by the CoD series that has yet to change and produce a good product ever since Call of Duty 1&2 for PC and the first Modern Warfare.

MMORPG = Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game eg. WoW, Guild Wars 2, The Old Republic, etc etc....

MOBA = Multiplayer Online Battle Arena eg. LoL, HoN, Dota, Dota 2 etc....

it's true. several of my friends and i who play hon have tried lol. biggest up lol has is shorter queue times, but in almost every other respect, hon is deeper and more interesting game

pros
destructible environment
more varied pet classes
DENYING
developers listen more closely to community
free to play. there is no rotation. all heroes/champions are available always (barring new champions/heroes for two weeks)

neutral
art style
community (i happen to love it, though i know some hate it)

cons
queue times (up to 5 mins)
steeper learning curve
more difficult to navigate shop
no LAN


i think that's most of them. of course, this is from the perspective of a hon player, so take it with a grain of salt.

Also, I played trist for the first time and went 22/7/15 as adc, and of course we still lost 3/10 teemo and 3/12 malph. I found trist pretty fun and I think she would be viable as adc in ranked, but what do you guys think?

ADC is my jam my regulars are MF, EZ, Draven and Graves....I've only played trist a couple of times and while i've done ok I just can't get used to her, maybe I just need a few more games with her....though I have seen people have fantastic games with her
