Fucking absolutely uncontrollably addicted.

Many times in a day, Reddit affects the future of Newschoolers due to sucking away our time. Paul actually has blocked it in his browser because he was having trouble staying focused coding.

If you're a redditor, you'll appreciate that our new ratings system is based off the exact same math as they use. Their system is near perfect if you ask me.

digg was the shit back in the day, WAAAAAYYYY better than reddit is now, but I give credit to Kevin Rose for refusing to sell out in those early days, now they sold for less than a mil.

Im on reddit a ton. Get to see apple news, world news, politics, longboarding, trees, memes, and plenty of other cool stuff in one place. Took a little bit to get used to though. I really like the mac app.

IMO the perfect system for posts in threads on NS would be: have up and down votes for each post like on reddit BUT show how many up and down votes each has, not just the sum, and also, leave things in chronological order as they're posted, and DON'T hide comments with less than -5 points. that shit's stupid because 5 idiots is enough to hide a possibly good comment

that way, you can actually get a decent idea of how good or well received a post is. rather than either showing nothing or quoting a post to say "this" to show your agreement with something, people vote it up or down. so if im a noob and see a post that says "tanner hall is gay and rides for nordica" and it has -7 points, i know i should probably not take it seriously

definitely agree. i would love the ability to upvote/downvote comments/threads/posts. i cant count how many times ive read something that is borderline retarded and have gone to downvote it only to find that i am not on reddit
