this isn't about me. I don't even like this music.
I just think that if it's a good song, the video shouldn't change anything. In this thread, however, the video changed peoples' attitudes about the song.
I don't think he's necessarily running out of ideas. I think he's just fucking around like he has in previous songs. Maybe trying to attract some more attentions before he drops the heist. I like the song but it definitely isn't one of his better ones.
is he being ironic and making fun of hipsters that buy ridiculous clothes at thrift shops, or is he just really actually into thrift shops? i cant tell
Thrift Shop is amazing, shows he gives no fucks and likes to have fun with his music, just like And We Danced. Can't wait till he comes to Montana in October.
Wow.... did he sell out? he use to rap with a political insight, and anti-establishment persona that i respected, but now he is rapping about his Hungarian tiger coast? Call me out if im wrong, but i just listened to some of his new stuff, and it seems like he sold his soul..... shieeet
The beat is fuckin dope. Usually im not a huge fan of Macklemore, but this song gets me for some reason.
Also, Im pissed now mad kids are gonna hit up thrift stores, best kept secret ever. Now all the little fuckers are gonna come and clean out all the good shit. Dammit
