track in college?

I was wondering if any of you people did track in college. Probably not seeing how its a skiing site, but I am considering it (im only a junior), and wanted to know some details. Can anybody help me out here?

i was gonna walk on to the track team at my schoo but chose not too, i have a few friends on collegiate track teams, maybe i can help you?

do they like it? Because i love track in high school, but i wasnt sure if it would be the same in college where i didnt know everybody

im doing track in highschool. Ive decided not to do it in college though because everyone i've talked to says it takes so much work and it basically takes over your life.

high school track is so relaxed at my school. i throw shot and discus. we practice as long or as short as we want

that doesn't work in colege ^^^ our practices started already and the season doesn't start until SPRING! I have to work to pay rent and ski shit so I didn't do it...

^hahahha i didnt even think of that. But the funny thing is this kid who was on my winter track team is one of hte best race walkers in america

i chose not to so i could just enjoy college and have more freedom. if you really love it, do it.

being on a collegiate team has a lot of demands. its just like any other collegiate team. you travel a lot and build your schedule around your season. a girl i know runs for davis and she loves it so much, but then again she is a nut for track. if you are commited and willing to work hard it could be one of the best experiances you have. it also helps to run for a good program. our school isnt very good so i went out for Ultimate and we actually win, so its a better trade off. any other questions?

hmm not really, but thanks a lot for the help. Im only a junior and my season hasnt begun yet, so we will see whats going to happen

I do it in highschool, but I just really do it to stay in shape and hurdles are fun stuff. So yeah I'm probubly not going to do it in college.
