Smith I/O lens question

Alrighty. So I have a pair of Smith I/O's and I was wondering if the Blackout lens would fit it my frame. I see the I/OS and the other models have the Blackout lens. But I just have the I/O. Would the Blackout replacement lens still fit in the frame? Also, what color is the tint when you look out from the lens? How dark is it compared to the black/red sol-x mirror lens?

wait so you have a pair of I/O's and are wondering about the i/os lens fitting them? If thats your question then i would say no. Im not for sure but my guess is no because the s in i/os stands for small so its smaller frame and goggle which shouldn't fit in the original I/O frame. Don't know about the tinting and what it looks like looking out of them but hope that helps.

the lenses for the i/os and the i/ox and the regular i/o's are different sizes. i was looking for the blackout lens, and i emailed smith about it, they said that it will be available for regular purchase closer to the start of the season. until then, the only way to get one is to buy a goggle from their site that comes with it

Did they say whether the blackout would be available for I/O? or is it i/ox?

The blackout will be available for IO, IO/S, and IO/X.

well yeah but on the website I saw them selling I/O's with Blackout lens's. Did I not?

I/O frames take I/O lenses.

I/OS frames take I/OS lenses.

Blackout lens is available for both.

Because they want people to spend more money at first and buy the whole setup, making it semi-exclusive, building hype. Just wait and it will be available separately.

You will see replacement blackout lenses for both the IO and IO/S, and possibly the IO/X as soon as shops are receiving their season orders. So within a month or two.

According to a guy at my local shop they're quite good for looking directly into the sun, or if you need to land on the moon any time soon. Other than that they're apparently incredibly dark.

They look dope though.

I have a lens that I would wear on cloudy days or night skiing. I would only wear them during sunny days. Did the guy you asked say when they would be available?

They will be available whenever shops get the new gear. What's your rush, nobody can get them get and the season has t started so its not like they are sold out or going to sell out within a day
