Get over it. The world doesn't revolve around you. Living with a stranger is a great opportunity to experience new things and get you out of your comfort zone (you all have one, don't deny it).

You honestly just sound like a horrible roommate to have. Yea there are some obvious downsides to it but it definitely doesn't suck. I went random freshmen year and my roommate I had 4 years ago is still mine now. Given we moved out of the dorms after freshmen year so we had our own rooms. But I definitely would not use the word "awful" to describe freshmen year living situation.

because eventually you find that you want more space. I lived in a quad my sophomore year with my 3 best friends. We had an amazing year and still look back on it as being one of our favorite years of school. But that doesn't mean we weren't thrilled to be in an apartment where we had our own rooms.


living with a stranger isn't that difficult. I lived with 2, in the smallest room on campus my first year. We got along fine and had no problems. They were by no means friends of mine, but we managed. Just don't be an awkward little weirdo, and realize that for the first time in your life, your living situation doesn't revolve around you exclusively, and you'll be fine.

lol this? What type of stupid question is that... Like you can live with one person for one year and it is great, but by the end of it you want your own space, a queen size bed, and just a bit more privacy.

Doesn't mean tho the year where I shared a room I was miserable. In fact it was a great time and I believe it is essential to have a honest college experience.

I mean maybe it's a step up from your aunt's double-wide but generally, living in res blows. The novelty of drinking every night wears off in about a month and you just end up stuck eating the same crappy food at a cafeteria and awkwardly shitting next to girls in co-ed bathrooms.

A number of people here are gay for their roommates so it makes them really mad when I say having a roommate is annoying. They perceive it as a personal attack on their lover and become belligerent in his defense. It's kind of sad really.

My comment wasn't remotely ambiguous. Do you even know what that word means? I stated that having a roommate is not enjoyable, then I listed very specific examples of why not. That's the exact opposite of ambiguous.

You generalized all roommates as being shitty, with a very broad statement.. But you in fact just meant I had a shitty roommate it was horrible experience. Do you not see how you were unclear with your comment still? Hence the word 'ambiguous' to describe how caused people interpret it in different ways than you intended??
