I have still a month until school starts. Me and my dorm mate have been deciding about what glass to bring. Thats about it though. 23 days until I move in.
bringing some beach chairs, maybe an umbrella, plenty of water balloons, christmas lights, posters, rugs, maybe a couch, xbox, monitor, a gaming chair, a wired controller for some SHREDSAUCE BABYYYYYYY, and who knows what else.
dont get me wrong, dorms are fun and all but when you move into an apartment is when you have the best living, do whatever you want with a real housing setup that isnt 10x10 and dont have RAs and shit breathing down your neck
mine doesn't even have a tv in it, and the walls are mostly bare other than a big poster of two penguins and some classless nattylight 30 pack sides cut out and stuck on the top of my wall in a border around the room. my room sucks its so small
The bed posts have a bunch of different levels you can put the bed at. I put it at that height so I could put stuff under it, and so I can look out the window when I'm in bed. It was actually higher when I moved in, like the bottom of the mattress was as the same level as the top of the bed posts.
You guys are in college how do you have lofted beds/bunks, we had 2 sets of bunks in a quad my sophmore year and it sucked. From that pt on id prefer to have less activity space and be able to hit it doggy without smasing my head on the cealing
Kids are pussies these days. Get off your computer and go talk to people. Social interaction isn't that bad. Living with strangers isn't really that bad. And if you don't like them get a new stranger.
I think you can pick roomates ahead of time at some schools. Don't know much about it but maybe see if you can do that so you aren't thinking the dude sleeping next to you will murder you in your sleep
Besides it's the land of YOLO. You can stay up past 9, watch R rated movies, eat junk food and your parents can't do shit about it.
I moved in three weeks ago and my room is exactly the same. Going home this weekend to bring back my tv, speakers, xbox etc. Also need to get a futon or something comfortable to sit on. Will potentially post before and after pics.
there is absolutely no need for this in a dorm room. A kid that lives 10 doors down from my has 2 12 inch subs and constantly blasts music and it shakes everything in my room, so fucking annoying. The speakers in my fraternity's house aren't even that loud.
I'm gonna be honest with you, having a roommate is awful. They wake you up a lot, you can't do shit in your room while they're sleeping, you can't masturbate spontaneously, and they stink it up with all the disgusting food they microwave. I highly recommend getting a single if at all possible.
