Hey NS i need a little help...

So im homeless now. my parents kicked me out of their house and im working a full time job trying to save up money to get my own place. problem is i have no place to sleep until. so i guess if there is anyone in the boulder, CO area willing to let me crash on their couch or something id really appreciate it. im 18 btw... thanks

my parents and i just dont get along. we fight about everything. and we just live our lives on separate wavelengths. about two months ago, i was in durango staying in the hostel there looking for a job and checking out the town. i was supposed to go to FLC in durango but probation for a DWAI charge that i got when i was 17 is not letting me leave boulder county. so i had to drop out of school and get a full time job. i came back from durango and lived in lafayette with my buddy at his house while his dad was at sturgis. when his dad got back he was fine with me living there until his 13 year old daughter had to go back to school. his reason for kicking me out was that his daughter is very impressionable. then this girl i just met convinced her parents to let me stay at their house as long as she stopped ditching classes at high school. it worked for a while but then she started missing school again and so i got kicked out about 4 hours ago. now im just hanging out at the library in lafayette waiting till its time for me to go to work. i have no clue what im gonna do after my shift.

Not in Boulder so I can't help, other than offer some advice. A park may not be a great place to sleep, especially with expensive electronics such as a laptop. I'm guessing you do not look like the typical homeless bum. There are safer places to spend the night. While not entirely legal, golf courses offer an open, flat, mostly safe place. Obviously don't go to the clubhouse, but sleeping on a fairway is not bad if you have a sleeping bag. If you don't, go buy a $20 one at WalMart. Churches are another option, especially if you can find a small church out in the country. There are other options as well, which I don't want to post in a public forum. While not exactly legal, as long as you do no harm and do not enter any private residences or disturb any private property, are certainly not outside the realm of being ethically decent. I'm guessing you don't have a car. If you do, you're set and can just sleep in it in a WalMart parking lot. Best of luck, and let us know what happens.

Stay on a friends couch for a little bit. Rotate between people. Sell some stuff, borrow a few bucks, or save some loot and get a place asap.

Maybe you can find some people to throw down on a apt.


Being homeless sucks. Do you at least have a car? Worst case cars aren't too bad. Especially when it's not winter. Do you have a tent? Can throw one up in a friends yard or in the woods for a little bit.

lol your in boulder and you cant find i hotel just sleep in the dorms (i mean the floor under the stairs) that what i did for the first 3 days i was homeless in co.

My friend got kicked out of his house because he was caught at school trafficking 35 grams of marijuana. His parents flipped out and kicked him out. He lives at friends houses and basically couch surfs. Or you could try and get an apartment with some people. If you have any family near by you might want to try and see if you can move in with them.

Sleep in smart places and don't get mugged. Some people are assholes out there and are willing to steal from anyone they can.

thanks for the advice guys. i dont have a car. and i work a full time job so i will have enough money to get my own place in about a month. park was chill. just crashed on a camp pad and sleeping bag. i will def try that golf course idea as long as it doesnt rain

Find where the local anarchist kids hang out, they know about squats and shit.

Buy a beater car for $1000 and live in it. You can car camp legally in any Wal Mart parking lot. If you get something made before 1985 you can do all the repairs yourself. At least where I live $1,000 is like half of moving in costs somewhere.

they really are if they're kicking their son out of their home without him having a place to stay nor a job. The least they could've done would have been to let you stay there until you got a job or enough money for an apartment.

nah i do understand why i got kicked out. i have a 14 year old sister and i dont want her doing any of the stupid shit i did. my parents and i agree on this. and i DO have a job. in about a month i will have enough money to move into my own place
