Are Full Tilts worth the money?

Last year I got some really bad shin bang and tried all the possible solutions. Nothing worked. I have never had Full Tilts but I have heard they are awesome and "eliminate shin bang". They are a little pricey but do you think it is worth it?

GO TO A BOOT FITTER. if they fit your got correctly they are great, but if not it could cause you even more shinbang even though you are in fulltilts

Never ask a question about anything boot related on NS, Everyones foot is different very few people fit well into a full tilt boot. Go to a reputable boot fitter if there isn't one near you its time for a road trip.

None of the people in this thread know what they are talking about. Full Tilts will fit your foot no matter what size, and they will stop shin bang, one thing to look out for tho is that the more expensive ones, such as the Seth Morison, and TWall will do a better job than say the Classic, or the Booter. Go out and buy some!!!! best derision of my life.

No boot can stop shinbang. Its all a marketing technique (Which really works for Full Tilt). I just bought their boots cause of my skinny chicken legs and my narrow feet.

Uhm, i rode SPK's last two seasons and i still have them. But my shins are banged up like hell. So this other day i were playing basketball, and the ball hit my shin, which hurt ridiculously much, considering it didnt hit me hard at all. Everything that hits my shin slightly hurts like hell, and its been like that since winter.

So instead of making a thread about it, anybody know if i might have some sort of inflamed shins, or just need new boots or what ever im confused and tired

Boot fitter is worth the money, I wanted full tilts, went to a boot fitter and they told me my foot is to wide for full tilts and I am in a way more comfortable boot

No boot *except for full tilts* can stop shinbang. OP, I got full tilts and now I can just ski backseat all day without a care in the world because I know my full tilts will stop me from getting shin bang. They improved my rail game too.

As everyone else has said: go to a bootfitter.  If however you don't have a boot fitter near you my advice concerning boots for freestyle is that Full Tilts feature 3 piece design.  This makes your ankle flex easier which for me atleast provides more shock absorbtion in heavy landings.  There are many different companies that make boots with a 3 piece shell, to mention a few there's Dalbello, Nordica and Salomon.  Just look around and try to find a place to try on the boots atleast before buying.

No they don't kid. Everyone's feet are different. My buddy bought Classics and he still gets shinbang after spending an extra 100 on bootfitting. And he isn't a sloppy skier who rides backseat.

And to OP on a more serious note: Go to a bootfitter. Full tilts are great boots if they fit your foot well and are suggested by a bootfitter.

The best answer any one can give you for weather Full tilts will work for you is maybe.

We can not see your feet so we can not recommend anything. But dont be conned by Full tilts marketing. They will not defiantly stop shin bang. I have skied in full tilts and they felt like shit, but I expected that as they did not fit my feet.

So overall, get off newschoolers go see a boot fitter, let him select the boot for you and have him make you a custom footbed. The boot may or may not be a full tilt.

full tilts are great for some but don't work for others. the only real way to know is to either go to a boot fitter or try them out.

I shred my skis to pieces every year. EVERY YEAR I ride that shit into the china. MY boots you ask? 1st gen SPKs. STILL GOING HARD TO THE PAINT. I will never replace my boots, unless I actually take a liking to this new fad "snow kayaking" and sell all my grills and goggles on BST.

If you like the idea of a 3 piece boot then at least try Dalbellos. Sure they're a little heavier but that's because the plastic is thicker. That means it can be beaten out in different spots a number of times, whereas Full Tilts cannot. Long story cut short, Dalbellos can be worked a lot more to fit your foot and they're of much better quality than Full Tilts.

OP see a good bootfitter. Unless you've already known your size of your foot in cm, you with width, instep, all that boot stuff and more, there is no way to know if FT will fit you. Go find a boofitter, get sized and see what they recommend.

What works for Skier A wont work for skier B. What works for skier B wont work for skier C. Every skiers foot is different. Thats why when someone says "FT work great for me" it's probably true. But your not that person. You have a diffrent foot and need to see if they will fit you.

Go see a proper bootfitter.

If you fit SPKs, how did you even get your foot in a Full Tilt? We are talking opposite extremes of the width scale in boots. Of course 1 of them was going to suck for you.
