Gonna be announced early september. Available in october. Whos getting one?

I have had the same 3gs for 3 years so I'm gonna pick one up for sure. If i get another iphone on the same carrier, can i swap between my iPhone 5 and 3gs just by swapping the SIM card? I wanna use my 3gs as my party phone when i go out at night.

Anyways. This video shows that the screen will be larger and the dock connector will be different. Anyone know of anything else? I hear there was gonna be an "iPhone wallet" app.

Well I'm officially done with Apple Maps (couldn't find driving direction from Santa Barbara to Monterey) and am removing iOS 6 from my 4s and reinstalling iOS 5.

Apple, I'll be back when you get your shit together (or if Google releases a decent Maps app for iOS).

APPLE I AM DISAPPOINT.

That Galaxy parody is pretty spot on. Related story. I got really drunk on Saturday and went around telling everyone that I have an iPhone 5, and I'm better than them. Luckily people these days have a sense of humour

you probably dont realize there are micro-computers in a lot of things, just like in your crappy 3 year old non-smart phone. Its only recently that processor speeds and ever-improving technology allow us to carry around an insane amount of computing power in a tiny device that is connected to a high speed network. Its very powerful, yet most people are only concerned with facebook and angry birds, but thats the way it is =]

You can't do shit on a 4..that phone was fucking useless. From ios 5 to now that phone is limited as hell. If you don't wanna put that much money into the 5, get the 4s. The 4 is not worth it.

mm, i dunno about the states.

but $200 is a fraction of what you'll be spending on the contract. If you cant afford a $200 phone, you wont be getting a smart phone on a contract

compared to the 4s and the 5..the 4 is super limited..i mean it's still a great phone..but it doesn't have siri, and you can't use a lot of the features from ios 6 on it.

Googling or manually doing something takes 10 extra seconds compared to Siri, 3D maps? panoramic pictures? Who cares. They're essentially the same phone.

Cause Siri is so useful... I had the 4, than lost it, now I have to 5. I don't use Siri, nor do I notice the biggest differences in hardware. Tad faster? Yes. Bigger screen? Yes. Cleaner sound? Yes. But that's about it. Everything else seems to be the software. Don't quote me on it though

4s is $99 but I assume you meant to say 4. but like Cumstallion said, $200 is a small chunk of what you pay over a 24month contract, I don't get why people get tricked by "free" phones...

yes, just did it and it's dope. I love the "do not disturb" addition. I used to always just turn my phone off in fear something would go off. They actually changed a lot though, i'd def. update

Remember when everyone said the iPhone 4 lost it's reception if you touched the sides? Ya. It's like that again.

Because I just remembered Google Maps has never sent me to Mars and back when the place I wanted to go was a mile away, it's the same damn thing. I don't know why a new Apple device/software is always expected to be over the top and brand new in every way. It's just a new update of the same thing they've made billions on. They'd be stupid to change too much when it's what everyone likes.

yes but that 200 bucks could pay my data plan for 10 months so still a pretty decent sized chunk of change. i really just wish they werent gay and let u buy the big capacity old models. i would easily pay 100 for a 32 gb 4 but now if i want 32 gb im forced to get 5 unless i go on craigslist which is still pretty expensive

Got to play around with the iPhone 5 today while my gf was getting her iPod fixed. It was almost TOO light. I felt like it would break if I even held it wrong. I'm sure it was just my mind playing tricks on me, but it has definitely given me second thoughts about purchasing one. Everything else about it was pretty awesome though. It ran extremely quick (internet and loading apps/programs) and the camera was really nice compared to my Droid X. I didn't really get a chance to test out too many new apps or see what was up with this new Apple Maps thing everyone is bitching about though. Overall, it was a nice phone, but I just felt like I was going to break it and had to be really careful with it.

I had the same experiance. the iphone felt like it was too light, and even more fragile than before. dont get me wrong its an amazing phone, but it has gotten too fragile.

saw one, played with it, didn't like it. my android home screen is heavily customized and fucking awesome. iphones are just full of icons and folders. it's like a boring ass computer desktop where you have to click into everything to open it then check shit. idk, not my style. seems great for soccer moms and little kids, though.

drop tests are fucking dumb

the phones fall and never land at the same angles. obviously landing right on the screen is different than landing on a corner

Not to mention, sement isn't consistent, it has lumps n random bumps

i mean seriously, whoever draws any sort of conclusion from this video is a fucking tard
