Seriously. Who needs to buy BC when you can just rape your gf every time?
Kinda pissed my secret is out now.
Also, am I the only one who is kind of pissed the Republican party has gone to such shit? I mean, I actually lean conservative on many issues, but the batshit party has made it completely impossible to identify with them because of their relatively newfound insanity on total fringe issues they've pushed to the forefront of the the debates.
I really feel like they need to lose- and lose badly- in this election if we're ever going to have some semblance of an actual political party rather than a radical religious movement "churched up" for an election like we do now. I really feel like they should be embarassed to even be masquerading as a political party and need to be humiliated back into being conservative, not this radically misinformed shit being crammed down our throats right now. What has happened to the political process because of sensationalist enquirer-style infammatory reporting by the Faux Newses and the Rushes is seriously bringing this country's ability to come to a consensus and make real progress to a screeching halt and it's fucking bullshit. Get the religious crap out of politics. It's bad enough without it, but it's literally impossible with it.
Joshua your third statement is not one I would try to fight. Just saying, but why I am here I'm going to toss up my beliefs in “God” or as I like to think of it a combined Human “soul” if you will. Now we all have a different mind set about god. This mind set greatly changes through adolescence. What I am saying is that if your parents are Christian and make you go to church every Sunday, then more then likely you will develop a response in your frontal lobe during the act of “prayer”. This stimulation in the frontal lobe allows a person to grasp the concept of god. Now the truth is you either can or cant do this. In most cases atheist have never developed that ability and therefor they cannot truly grasp a concept of “god”. Now while changes in the brain are possible, they become increasingly harder through life. So in order to change a person’s belief you would literally have to in a sense reconfigure the brain of said person. This act is very challenging and would take a lot of effort. So instead of people trying to battle out beliefs and put theirs on top, why don’t we just focus on co-existence? I’m not saying that anyone in this thread is really butt hurt about their beliefs or opinions, I just hope that you keep this in mind next time you get into a debate about your version of “god”.
Now on the other hand there are ways that science can prove the existence of god, to me at least. If the LHC can find the Higgs Boson, in affect creating the TOE or theory of everything I will gladly except that our world has to be the product of intelligent design.
Spark notes, Joshua is right science has not disproved the existence of god, only made it unlikely. On the other hand science also has the ability to prove the existence of god. Both the big bang theory and the creationist theory have left unanswered questions. There for both are just opinions not facts.
EndFragmentHere's some food for thought... Im not going to call out anyone or try to start debating with anyone just my two cents.
Lets say I have faith and believe in God and Jesus Christ. I live my life for God and have a lot of fun over the years, I get married, have a family and a great job and continue to believe in God and live my life according to the Bible. Then when my time comes I die... Now if ive been wrong my whole life and there is no God I just die and rot in the ground end of story, but I still have a great life and enjoyed it and raised a good family etc... IF I am right and there is a God I get into Heaven and spend eternity there.
Now lets say all the people that DONT believe in God live their life, have fun over the years, get married, have a great job, raise a family etc... Now when they die if they are right then they die and lay in the ground and rot end of story. But if they are wrong, and there is a God then they will be sent to Hell and spend eternity there.
My point is, is it really worth the risk of taking a leap of faith and believing in somthing more..? Was my life as a Christian really that much worse for believing in God and living my life in that way. Dont get me wrong, I had A LOT of fun through college, I partied and did what I want, but there comes a time in most peoples lives where they grow up Atheist, Christian, whoever. Just for that reason alone I dont think it's worth the risk. I mean noone KNOWS if there is a God or not. We all will find out when we die and I personally dont want to risk ending up in Hell if it exists. (this isnt my only reason for being a christian, but im not going to gamble either) I hope this makes sense.
