I am about to upgrade my camera to a 5Dmk3 in the near future and I was wondering if what I hear is true and there is a solid amount of vignetting when using this lens because it is made for APSC sensors???
What are you gonna use that wide an angle for on FF anyway?
You're probably much better of buying the Samyang 14mm if you want something wide. I don't know if you've shot FF with that wide an angle, but pretty anything under 20mm is so wide you have to watch out your feet don't get in the frame...
That or a Panasonic AF100 to get that 4/3rds sensor.. Some friends want to shoot a full on MTB movie... I got quite a bit of sponsor support from Diamondback and Shimano! almost enough to upgrade!
I've used an 11-16 on my d700 plenty of times, it's only usable at 16 but it's extremely wide since it's full frame and there was little to no vignetting at 16.
I'm in the same boat, saving up for a full frame right now but my 11-16mm is still providing good results on my D800. More vignetting than average because I use a uv filter but it's nothing a small crop cant take care of.
