the first edit i ever made.....i didn't really know how to ski, hahaaa and i have no idea where the "biffed" came from, my friend did that...ready for some hateful comments :)

Well, you tried your best. But in my opinion don't worry about park yet, just ski laps at your mountain and get your basics down so you can ski smooth and comfortable because you look uneasy on your skis even when just skiing.

What I never got was why people made edits when they are not that good, wouldnt you your self want to wait to you were half decent to make an edit? And relize that this was filmed by a drunk it was so wobbly, I meen good for you starting park skiing and all, great that your getting into it but, wait a little, get a little better (at filming as well) then put out and edit we will enoy

I made some terrible edits when I was younger and it was a lot of fun. I don't know why you would upload it to newschoolers though.

OP, work on your skiing for now. Work on linking turns and basics, then hit the park. Then when you've been doing that for a while, start filming again, and at least get steady shots. Then start watching edits on here and reading M&A to learn more about filming and editing.

Well, if skiing is not about skiing better and cooler why don't we all watch 12 year olds doing 360's? AWESOME. If you're in for the stoke, you could switch to watching people unpack presents. They never get injured, too.

Edit sucks. Considering you're twelve I'd say keep on skiing and editing, you'll get better!

you'll get better at skiing. my advice now would be to edit out the fluff, pick a handful of your best shots and make short edits (~min). also steady that camera x10

The edit was pretty bad but that's to be expected for your first edit. The first edit I made sucked super bad and now I make pretty good stuff. You'll get better at skiing and editing and look back at this and wonder what the hell you were thinking. I know because I did the same thing.

i have been skiing since i was two years old, and raced from age 5 to age 13, and became a great skier..that was my first time ever skiing twin tips, and i didn't know how to do anything in the park

i was doing the pizza because i was still pretty shaky, i had never done a rotation in the air on skis before, i was born and bred a racer kid where freestyle swag was frowned upon...that was my first time in the park, and my friend who filmed it had never used a camera before. it was a flip camera, btw. thanks to all those guys out there who encouraged me and realized it was my first time...i posted this because i was curious to see all the comments...it worked!

brings tears to my eyes... sure i filmed my skiing beginnings, but i wouldnt upload it to NS, but use it too look for mistakes in my tricks etc. no one wants to see people who cant ski piste, ski park. let alone shitty filming, music, editing... why is there a media + arts section? someone should delete this thread.

Jeez, so much dam hate on the kid.

I say to op, watch as many edits, tutorials, self helps, tip, youtube video's as you can with regards to learning some video/editing finesse.

Keep enjoying you're shit, just maybe wait a little to get some tips and critiques on NS. Also when you do, try and put the thread in the right place. I'm sure you'll find some genuine help with editing and your skiing in the right forum. Less hate too probably. Maybe.
