As you all know I am not normal… ;-) When I was going to bed last night I started thinking about the fact that I miss the build process of a new car, so then it hit me, why dont I sell my R8 and build a new one? ;-)

After the Ascari track visit I have been thinking more and more about a more raw race car feeling so incase someone is interested in this car I might just build myself a new R8 and let that one go more towards a cleaned out race car, skipping the interior, the AC and the radio, making it super uncomfortable but possibly even faster then this one… ;-)

So if you are looking for the baddest R8 in the world, just shoot me an e mail at olsson99@gmail.com with an offer and lets go from there. I have invested about 300 000€ on this car (not including the car) so every little bit of this car is as good as it can get!"

He's a bit of a wanker....if you read between the lines what he is really saying is he likes to spend money and gets bored quickly. If he really liked the process of building a car he would build a kit car like a Caterham, not pay workshops to hot up an already ludicrously fast Audi.

It's not worth 300k Euro.

I'd offer him a 130-150. The thing has been ragged shitless all over the internet.

That's Ferrari 458 money too... and I wouldn't buy a modified R8 over a 458. You would need to be a bit mental.

I'd rather spend 100k more and buy a 599 GTO.

That said - it's a retarded quick car, but maintaining something that modified will ruin you.

That car has been around the world more than once.. Gumball 3000, from austria to sweden, to monaco and to sweden again. And since he is in the Swedish alpine team, (well almost but he has a bigger name than the actual members of it) he is sponsored by Audi. Wich he proves with their logo on his blogg. I would guess that he received the car free, and if not at least very cheap. I mean there is a pretty good commercial spot. The biggest name in skiing, that lives a luxury life and has a huge car interest, participate in the Gumball 3000 every year.

Sooooo because of the milage it isn't worth nearly as much as it is new, a car drops thousands of dollars just the first miles, and a sport car definitly does, even if they doesn't drop as much after a couple of years. But from what I have heard from a friend of mine who competes with him in the Eurocup, Jon isn't that careful with his cars. Heard he kicked his Gallardo with a ski boot after a bad race.. Dunno if it is true but.. Still the milage, thats why I started writing.. and the sponsor thing..
