What do you normally set your DIN at? In my experience, the salomon/atomic STH/FFG series bindings are very solid, but only if you make sure to get the driver toepiece. This is the one you'll find on the all 16 DIN models, but only the specified 'driver' versions of the 12 and 14 DIN models. You don't really want to be messing with the z toe or the oversized toe; it has a history of explosion and pre-release. If you want ultimate durability and performance from a salomon binding, go for the STH 16 steel or the old 916, although you probably wont need that on a park ski, and they're pretty heavy. I would pretty much reserve the steel version for big mountain skis. Also, the look/rossignol pivot/FKS series bindings are fantastic, but have kind of an annoying entry and release, and the baseplate is fragile (even though the rest of the binding is bombproof), and they're not the most adjustable binding out there. I've also had good experiences with the tyrolia peak line, I have some peak 18s on my pipe cleaners, and have had no problems so far. Whatever binding you get, try to make your DIN setting towards the middle of the range; that's where the bindings will perform the best/release the most consistantly. I don't have any experience with markers, but I generally prefer a binding with a bit more metal in it's construction, just for the sake of durability, and responsiveness. Hope this helps.
