Systematic Facebook "friend" removal?

I don't know how frequent this happens but has anyone found better methods for this? I was on Facebook and I said to myself, "fuck I don't like or know any of these people". So I went on a purge.

I know it was my fault but when sending/accepting request; it's just one here or there. You tell yourself "I think I know them" or "They go to my school". Whatever the excuse is, after 4 years of Facebook you'll find these "friends" and you just don't want them on your Dashboard/reading what you have to share. But there are so many additional windows and prompts you must click through when deleting a "friend". Even 20 can take you a long time. I was looking to delete closer to a few hundred...

I found myself going through the calendars of birthdays and scrolling over the thumbnails. If I scrolled over someone who's name I cannot recognize or what have you, I went through the steps and after an hour and only like 15 or so down. I did finish but after a good amount of time.

Does anyone have a good way for the systematic removal of "friends"? Not that anyone should EVER have to do this more than once, just curious.

after deleting mine and then restarting it i was alot more selective so i dont have to delete anyone

It takes forever... Also delete my entire wall accept for some of my "good" statuses every few months. That takes a long time to.

dude it takes 2 seconds to delete someone.. you click on their profile, go to where it says "Friends" hover over it, and click unfriend. Boom done. I just did it while writing this post.

If you have THAT many people you want to delete, start your FB over.

i delete people all the time, it's not that hard, you click what 3 buttons and they're gone, takes about 5 seconds. but yeah back in the day i deleted a solid 300 or so people from my list at once and i remember it taking a while. once those people are gone though, it's pretty easy to take care of who you want to keep or not.

With timeline everything from any year since you've had fb can be pulled up with one click. For me personally I'm going through a background check for a school, and while I don't post very irresponsibly who the hell knows hat was written on my wall by myself or others during four years of college? Shits not worth it. I'm deleting it and remaking it clean, way easier.

Just delete them everyday when you see abirthday pop up and you don't recognize the person.
