Hosting a College rail Jam

Hey so I'm trying to host a rail jam at Colorado school of Mines. But my school is concerned that anything set up by students could potentially be dangerous. They recommend that we rent gear? There is no way that our club can afford to rent any sort of drop in let alone rails (we have a budget of $250). So how should I go about obtaining professional help for a rail jam? Just calling and emailing random ski parks in Colorado and hoping for a sponsor?

not to knowledgeable about this sorta stuff but I think you should just do what you said, email a bunch of resorts and see if they will sponsor it.

I'm sure there are some local ski shops and what not who will put their name on things and help out. Also assuming there have been rail jams before in your town, so get ahold of the organizers and get some contact info of potential sponsors who helped out las time. always a good place to start.
