If not better, than definitely comparable to the other top models being mentioned. The heel piece is the beefiest I've seen and the toe is reinforced where it needs to be. I hear they are a tad bit heavier but I've never paid attention to that. Zero ramp angle is nice for switch skiing. They release really well, but like all bindings they have a knack for being touchy in regards to forward pressure.
Basically I think they are excellent for what you pay for them and people seem to ignore the history of how long Tyrolia has been making bindings. You can find pairs for cheap and they perform just as well as STH. My support of them though only extends to the Peak series. I've never heard of people having alot of technical problems with them either. The mounting platform is also nice for todays skis, and its functional, not marketing jargon. I like the no frills approach they have towards putting the binding out too.
I want to go more in depth, but only have my left hand right now after surgery.
