Hey all. Princeton review just released their annual list of top ranked party schools and stone cold sober schools. Anybody have their university make the list? I go to University of Iowa and we climbed another 2 spots to second in the nation, eyo! Fucking 21 ordinance is working in a negative manner...

both my sibs go there. but they live off campus. i can see it being a crazy party school. how many newschoolers are there, do you think?

my twin brother goes to maryland, #16. im kinda bummed UD didnt make it tho, i had high hopes :(

and when your school is more "stone cold sober" than service academys, you know youre doing something wrong (im talking to bringham young and wheaton)

I couldnt see there being many, I know one kid whos a sick skiier but im pretty sure he isnt a member. But yeah, its absolutely nuts. Ive visited some other schools and Ive realized how it is pretty crazy in comparison to most places.

These things are fucking lame. Pretty much every school is a party school these days anyway. Nobody goes to college for an education. If they did, their would be colleges for much cheaper because they would weed out all the bullshit that = 90% of the tuition costs.


Yes some schools are more raging than other but honestly, if you chose a school because it's ranked on some shitty list like that, I feel bad for you.

Haha no, Ive lived 20 minutes from Iowa City my entire life, and I was going to college for Human Physiology and an emphasis on pre-med. And since its a great school for that, and gives me a better chance at getting into carver when i apply to schools next summer, and in state tuition, why not? Its just a happy coincidence that its apparently good at throwing ragers as well.

Yes people go to school for education, they try in major in something and go toward a job. (well a bunch don't even do that) Just saying that education isn't really a focus anymore.


College is more about "finding yourself" being away from mommy, playing some sports, partying, and pretty much anything that isn't related to education.

But seriously, pretty much everything that isn't a religious school is a party school. Some a little more than others but I think people will find more than enough party action. Fuck even at dartmouth I knew this girl and some other people that got huge into heroin. I'm not saying that's how I party, I'm just saying even those schools on the pedestal get down on everything under the sun.

Define "religious school." Cause my sister went to Le Moyne, which is right next to SU in Syracuse, NY. And it's a jesuit university and they partied pretty damn hard.

I mean a religious school where the focus is religion. I mean fuck some of the biggest names started out as religious schools but aren't associated anymore.


If you're talking that part of ny shit like roberts wesleyan. There are plenty of school where guys are allowed in the girls dorms and the other way around, there are a bunch or religious courses people take, and it's place you don't really go unless you're religious.

WVU, #1 party school since forever... I'm half ashamed of this and half proud. Mainly pissed though, because I actually live here and deal with the negative side of everybody getting stupid drunk and destroying my town.

I would say CU should for sure be in the top 10 also ASU is without a doubt #1. I went to Nebraska which is one of the top 3 binge drinking states in the nation (it's ranked 1,2 or 3 in about every poll) and you don't see me stating for a top 10 nomination.

Iowa is fun to party at but you're kinda stuck up. Also Iowa city sucks, this coming from a Lincoln grad.

A poll where CU, UCSB, and ASU aren't top 5 is pretty ridiculous. Anyone that's been to UCSB and CU more than a few times knows they're the exact same except one mountain, one ocean. And ASU has a ridiculous undergrad population, that alone places them top 10.

Ha yep, BYU takes their sober game seriously. My friend's older sister got expelled because she was drinking in a bar off campus. You literally take a pledge saying you won't drink AT ALL and if you break it (and get caught) you're fucked.
