Movies, shows and other things concerning dreams, the power of dreams and everything related to them.
Paprika
.
Now this movie is one of my favorites of all time. An inventor has invented a device that helps people analyze their lives through their dreams through psychiatry, but what happens when the device gets into the wrong hands..?
Inception
.
Most of you know this blockbuster of a movie by Christopher Nolan, dwelving into the matter of dreamstates and how we conceive the passage of time in our minds, and what can be manipulated while dreaming.
Waking Life
.
One of the first fully rotoscoped films with real actors, Waking life takes the philosophical stand on lucid dreaming and the factors separating our reality from dream reality. Truly a must-see monologue-filled trip for anyone interested in dreams and the freedoms within.
Blueberry
.
While this film isn't strictly dream orientated, it contains many dream-like visuals and experiences based on Ayahuasca trips by the film's director Jan Kounen, drawing from the subconscious of a tripping man and influenced by many dreamscapes.
Adventure Time
This whole show is trippy to say the least, but a few episodes really touch the edge of reality and seep into the visuals and thoughts envisioning the greatest fears and realizations in our dreams, especially with the episode "King Worm".
Now this is just scratching the surface, but tell me how you feel about these films and series and post any other examples of movies, shows, comics and cartoons that try to emulate dreams in some way. I'm intrigued to see everything you have.
