Getting a job in whistler!?

Don't apply for jobs online, only the shitty jobs get advertised. Arrive in town around mid-October and hit the streets, best way to go.

yea this. Id also say not to do something like being a lifty where youll be working for the moutnain. You'll only get two full days of skiing in a week, and theres a ton a retarded rules that go along with working for the mountain. I think restaurants or grocery stores are the best ski bum jobs, more so than bars because of the later hours. I work in the deli at nesters and get paid as much as i used to in restaurants, and its way more chill of a job than cooking in a busy kitchen. But yea just spend some time looking around town and you really shouldnt have too much problem, assuming you arrive here at a good time.

Heard its really hard to get a job up at Whistler unless you know high end people working up on the mountain. It also pays really low.

What experience do you have? What have you worked as before? This is a pretty big factor.

I have some bar and restaruant work experience as well as working in shops and know how to set up skis/ bindings and fit boots so, i got a few things on my side. Will probably not be able to make it out till early November time though. Will most jobs be gone by then. I do have my instructor qualifications so would quite like to use them, would they still hire in November??

you will be there with the rush. Not as bad as say december or january. But it will be tough. Whistler hires their instructors online, so check their website frequently for postings.
