Anyone know if this guy is still selling macs? he hasnt logged in for a while and im in the market for a new computer.

On that note, im kinda debating switching to a mac desktop of some sort. What would you guys recommend for video/photo editing?

If anyone has tips on building a custom computer it would be helpful. kinda exploring all the options.

also, feel free to PM me any questions. I'm about to do a major update to my system to switch my OS drive to an SSD running Mountain Lion/reinstall multibeast/set up RAID1/etc

Ya my logic board literally just crashed on me this morning. thought i might as well update everything.

Im completely new to the whole hackintosh thing, sounds like fun and pretty inexpensive.

it's awesome. IMO, gets you the most power for your budget, and you can do anything for pretty much any price.

If you've figured out your budget, i'd be willing to link you to a few parts to give you an idea.
