thought the edit was pretty good, liked the song choice.

zoomed in shot of the backy around 2:10 should be taken out, also it would have been cool if you'd gotten a couple more night shots to add a little variety.

Dope edit man! especially because its your first. I agree i liked the song choice but a couple more night shots would have kept it more interesting but nice job man!

Thanks for the critique man. I thought the zoom in was kind of cool but maybe it really wasn't. As far as variety it was difficult because I was usually on shore with a tripod. I could of gotten some follow cams but they would of been all gopro. Do you think gopro footage here and there would take away from the quality of production?

i think that's all a matter of opinion...honestly i think it's hard to integrate GoPro footage into an edit like that and have it look that great, but i have seen some examples where they do a great job at using both.
i'll look through my vimeo likes and try to dig up an example or two.

I think the most difficult part is grading your footage to get a really nice look with the gopro. It often gets that yellow tinti. btw following on tumblr now

sick edit, good job. id have to agree, wasnt a fan of your zoom on the tantrum, or at least the way you did it. if you havent seen it already, watch liquid force the truth, they do an amazing job of zooms, with added slow-motion, i think if you took an approach more similar to theirs it would look unreal. additionally, if you lined up the beats of the song more with the landings, rather than the popping, or both if possible, it will create more emphasis on stomping the tricks, you did do it well a bunch of times, but there were a few that i feel could have really benefitted from it.

regardless, sick edit, nice riding, how deep is the water there?

Hey thanks for the critique. I have never even watched a wakeboard movie I will definitely give that a gander. I totally see how what you said would give the edit way more flow. Line up landings with the beats and try to pan more naturally with the riding
