Well, I already decided that I'm picking a pair of JJ's in a week or so. I've demoed the 185's earlier this year in Vail and I absolutely loved them. Fortunately I was able to catch a couple of powder days on them so I fell in love almost immediately. Also I was really impressed on how well the perform on crud and on piste! I was actually able to carve like a champ. And that is why I chose this ski, because I'm looking for the one ski that can rip it all!
But, there's always a but, I was reading many reviews and I raised concerns about if it is the right length for me. I am 6'1" and 183 lbs. I ski everywhere in the mountain, and I ski very agressively. I'm no Pro by the way haha. So I don't remember them feeling short at all. The only thing I noticed was that they performed better in bumps than my 181 AR6's. I think this must be due to the running length of the JJ's. Anyway, I read a couple reviews and I was surpised that most people my height got recomended to get the AKJJ's. The argument was that for many people the 185's felt like snowblades and you could solve that going for the AKJJ's. Im aware that these are a couple mm's wider and a bit stiffer aswell as being 10cm longer. So I was hoping for a more experienced skier to tell me if I should go for one or another. I know that is all about personal preference, but I've only ridden the 185's. Last but not least, I got a pretty sweet deal for the JJ's, but if it's worth I might go that extra couple bucks to the AK ones!
So NS, I would love some help! +k for helpful answers
