I took your advice and looked up some history of the canadian military, it was a very helpful and eye opening experience - I'm glad I did some research on the subject. I'll summarize my findings for you
BTW fellow Americans, I would caution you against making fun of the Canadian military. The last time we went to war with them they marched into DC and burned most of it including the white house to the ground.
That would be hilarious if it ever came to that again. I'd put money on a handful of NH state troopers being able to stop the advancing canadian military at the border...
I've heard this but is it honestly true??? I'm no history major by any means, but every source I can find says it is in fact the british forces that made the raid on Washington in 1814?? Anybody got a source showing some actual canadian involvement??
No. We had a weapon to end humanity. The united states could have taken over the world and nobody could have done anything about. We are, and will continue to be, the most dominant force on earth.
American Logic - Deny being defined by a mass amount of american whom live in the south. Relate their country to a very small propotion of individuals who have been succesful
Relating the size of america's military to canada's military is like relatiing the the neccesity of tampons for girls as opposed to boys, Canada isn't a raging hormonal bitch with a bloody vagina invading everybody elses personal space, so a tampon is required for us
Talibanis is a word you just invented, and you just taught me how to pronounce your word, thanks.
Are all Americans smart like you?
I have nothing but respect for neighbors in the south, it's just a minority like you TurkishDelight makes Americans look uneducated of anything outside their country.
You're right. I sit here and go "damn I'm better than everyone who is not american." How many "Canada sucks" threads have been made? and how many "America sucks" threads have been made? Stop acting like we start these things. Everybody else starts ragging on America and we defend it. Sure some people are over the top but what do you expect us to say? "You're right. America sucks and Canada is better?" Get over yourself
I made a joke saying the closest thing to a war New Zealand has gotten was Lord of the Rings. You went on a tirade that ended with you telling me to "drown in my own shit"
Ah, the ol' "dig a hole and diarrhea all over yourself until you drown" quip. I don't even remember what that was about, was it in the gun control thread?
Exactly. We just have many more athletes that can compete at a higher level. For other countries, its far and few between. They're either great, or lose to our athletes that we consider marginal. Get at me.
But my point remains (even before I check why I actually wrote that tubgirlish reply) that a it's very funny how people defend a country before they defend an idea. These days, most countries' histories are bathed in blood (and shit?) and form arbitrary lines across a vast globe in the hopes of seeing some sort of resemblance to independece and governance over lands. If you happen to be born on any which side of Line A, one should not automatically assume "Booyah, I am a denizen of this place, so I shall flaunt it because factor X".
