T-Hall's flex

i was thinking about getting the t-halls but i was just wondering, exactly what is meant when armada says that they have a flex pattern intended for nose/tailpresses and butters? are the tips and tails just a little bit softer?

kinda like the fujatives...im not sure if, it too, has three flex points like the fujative, but the tip and tail are softer for butters and nosepresses. It's stiffer under the boot.

yea im interested in them too.. anyone ridden them cause I dont want to get them if theyre just like the AR5s cause I already have a pair.

very different from the ar5 from what I understand. you guys pretty much hit it I think, very soft tips and tails, stiffer under boot

they are almost the same as the Fujative... but have Armada written on them so they cost 550. just kiddin.... but they are the same idea as the Fujatives. and the edges are de-tuned under foot for rails. and guys... all skis are stiffer udnerfoot than in the tips and tails...

ya saying its softer in the tips and tails than underfoot just means its the same as anyother ski out there. but ya there mad soft as soft if not softer than fujativs.

The T's have 3 carbon stringers in the tail of the ski verses 1 carbon stringer in the AR5, also the T's have a carbon stringer in the tip where the AR5's dont. This equates to a lot more spring and pop. The core on the T's are lighter and generally softer than the AR5 hence the extra strigers.They are very different to the fujatives. They also have a 90 sidewall underfoot opposed to a cap on the fujatives. Also the 1st thing most people will do on a park ski is get a file and round the edges off to stop catching and also not having all the force on 1 point.

about the softness, i thought a stiffer tail gives you more pop in the pipe? if thats true, then wouldnt the t-halls be weaker?

he wanted the ski lighter but with more pop so thats why 3 carbon stringers. this means the ski is softer and lighter throughout the core but with a stiffer tail

They're weird. The sidewalls on them change underfoot to a 90, then go back to regular at the tip. If that makes sense.

i rode ar5s last year, they are soft as fuck compaired to the thalls, but the thalls feel like you lock on to butters or nose\tail slides or whatever, i love them, they are the best feeling ski i have ever rode, my friend has a pair of fugidives and they are simialar but the thalls feel 10 times better

it's definately not worth buying the t-halls because they have rounded edges. thats a very easy thing to do yourself. Or just leave it and the edges will detune themselves after a few rails

im shure plenty of people like um, but almost everyone likes thier new skis. they are definatly nice, but im still gonna say that anyone that is intersted in thalls should definatly consider stls. very similar flex profile, but lighter, and in more sizes. oh yeah, they are cheaper too. and have a 2 year warrenty. and ptex sidewalls. and have tough ass bases.
