thanks sean, you just convinced me what my next rangefinder should be. sadly, the light leak on my al-f is now out of control, so it's a paperweight until i learn how to replace the seals (which prob isn't even worth it). RIP first rangefinder.
@logan, just buy a large sheet of the foam material from eBay, I've replaced the seals on various cameras and as long as you have a sturdy ruler and are not completely idiotic it's not hard at all.
Duly noted. It's not like the al-f is an awesome camera, it's just sentimental as my first rangefinder. I will look into it, but I'm not passing up this excuse to buy another one haha
i'll do it at some point, but for now i already purchased a Yashica Electro 35 GTN so i'm going to have fun with shooting that. Now I have two camera related projects (cleaning the fungus out of a lens and installing some foam), but that'll have to wait til i'm done building skis.
yes the leica on the left cost me an arm and a leg so it had to go, plus now I have a reason to use this rollei thats been sitting here for quite some time
and the ttl appears to be every so slightly taller then the classic when put up back to back, I imagine to make room for the extra electrical components
cool. The suede strap I made leaves a lot of little pieces of suede on my clothes so I am trying to find one to buy but leather ones are really expensive.
the M that apple designer Jonathan Ive did was finally shown
tooling and manufacturing took 55 engineers and 2,149 hours, a total of 561 models and nearly 1000 prototype parts were made during the 85 days it took to create. This is a one of a kind camera to be auctioned off for product red HIV
