hey ns i cant decide on weather to get and FD wear jacket for the seaosn or a saga jacket
i have owned saga before but i want a vest to what should i do?

well i want a vest and i was wondering if FDs zippers on the sleves break or not easily or at all cause it wouldbe cheaper for me to get the stuff from FD but if the zippers break id rather go with saga

From my experience 2 years ago with FD their stuff is way less durable than Saga.

My fd coat from last year is pretty nice. It's warm and has held up pretty well. But I have saga snow pants and a saga vest and the quality difference is huge. Saga all the way. It costs a bit more but you get what you pay

SAGA. Their stuff is much more quality for sure. I like that FD has the zipoff sleeves so your coat can be a vest too, but if you're really looking for a vest, there's a ton of Saga vests on the gear trade here you can get. I just got a saga enlisted vest and it's the shit. Go saga for sure.

between those two definitely go saga, but if you want zipoff sleeves find a bloom jacket from last year, quality is almost at Saga's level, you could even PM bloom and ask if they have any remaining stock

Maybe for st33zy park rats saga is the best, but there are higher quality fabrics being produced for sure. Saga is nice, being 20k/20k and 3L, but it still doesn't hold a candle to something like trew, strafe, the higher end north face stuff, arcterex (spelling?), mountain hardware, or any ultra technical brands. Sure saga is the best if you want 3L outerwear in a super baggy fit, but if you wear normal sized stuff there are far better options.

FD isn't super durable but it is super warm. Basically if you ski 30 or more days per year id go with Saga (the poly vest combo looks pretty sick. Youd get a vest and waterproof poly thing.) But FD actually looks pretty sick this year just don't get the 40'' haha.

I've heard that FD has definitely improved over the years of hate and issues, my friend got some stuff from their line from last season, pretty good quality, and is lasting as long as any other jacket. It's also more of an insulated jacket where saga is just a shell. I like Saga and how good of quality it is but if you have been eyeing something from FD give it a try!

I have zero complaints about my FD outerwear. Jacket has held up flawlessly, along with the pants. Super warm stuff, and never once got wet. I have probably 45 days on it, and it still looks new. Highly recommended from me.

get whatever the fuck you want. don't let NS decide what u have to wear! either are sick. saga is well made and durable with sick colorways. Fd has a little less durability but still is awesome and can be more custom

personally i think FD's new stuff is insanely good looking. and i know for a fact they drastically improved the quality of their products due to a new manufacturing plant and all new materials

it's really up to you but personally I think the pattern work and the way the 2 colors are put together on first drop is genuinely retarted. Get a saga vest!

you have some of their 12/13 products already? howd you pull that off. i guess im just playing devils advocate but just because someone says something is improved doesnt always mean it is. theres this little trick called marketing where you tell the customers something is new and improved and they think its the cats meow.

you got me! Don't own any outerwear yet, just read on their web sight they switched manufacturing/materials. Based on how much their product quality improved with their last drop i'd say we are all in for a treat this year

SAGA. my on deck has better waterproofing than my old spyder jacket and looks better too. I've had zero issues with it

My friend bought a brand new FD outfit last year, looked so sick, but half the zippers were broken by the end of the season. My other bro bought a 2-year old used saga jacket and abused it all season. Besides the rail stains, Jacket was as good as new. Get Saga
