So iv'e been saving up for a new camera and i finally have enough to buy the Canon t2i, but i was wondering if i should keep saving up for the t3i or if it's not worth the extra 100$. This is my first camera if that helps.
Depends on how much you'll have left for glass. If you can buy either with plenty of money for glass and stablization (assuming you're doing video work) then go for the T3i, the articulating screen is a nice perk.
If your cash is tight then stick with the T2i and make sure you have money for glass and stablization.
I wasn't sure if it was worth it when i first bought my t3i, but i use the articulating screen absolutely every time I shoot. makes tripod work a lot more fun, especially using live zoom to check focus.
for $100 you can either get the swivel screen, or buy a cheap prime or put it towards a nicer lens. there is nothing wrong with the t2i at all, lots of people use non-swivel screens and we all survive.
